Skode's June Newsletter

As you will begin to notice with recent and upcoming purchases, Skode's has a new look. It's cleaner, clearer, and it really helps Skode's mission "Pop."

Skode's personal story on the back of each cookie label, for example, has been replaced to reflect the company's low sugar-low starch mission. Meanwhile, the company website features calmer, more natural colors that also tie into the company mission of honoring our horses' True Nature with a low sugar/low starch lifestyle. New flyers being included in your orders do the same. (If you need more than one or two please let me know and I will get them too you.)

I welcome your feedback and invite you to email me personally as well as to connect with me on Facebook, where nearly 200 of Skode's Low Sugar Horse Treat fans are talking with Skode about all kinds of cool, low sugar ideas. Learn about the latest products, and meet new like-minded friends.

Another fun way to stay in touch is through the new company blog, where I am sharing a behind-the scene's look at what it's really like to run the first low sugar horse treat speciality company in the world. It's a very honest account of what occurs and there is a lot occurring these days so I hope you will check it out! Visit by Clicking Here.

PROFESSIONAL ALLIANCES!
Professional Alliances helped Skode's make appearances in several places at once during this Memorial Day Weekend. We were at the Northeast Equine Exposition in New York via  Cindy McGinley at Black Horse Consulting. Cindy kindly passed out samples of Skode's newest Apple Pie and Carrot Snips cookies to those who visited her informational booth. Thanks to Skode's wonderful and mysterious label lady (she has asked to remain anonymous), Skode's was able to create some rather nifty labels to honor the mutually beneficial alliance:
At the same time, Sherie, owner of Equi-Spa began her horse tour in Illinois via the Equi-Spa Mobile!

And in just a few days Dr. Juliet Getty, Equine Nutritionist and author of Feed Your Horse Like a Horse, will be at the Western States Horse Expo in Sacramento, California in a few days and is taking a few boxes of Skode's samples along with her.

I am extremely grateful for these alliances and would like to create even more. If you have any ideas, please do EMAIL SKODE.
NEW PRODUCTS!
   A NEW LOOK !
I am so pleased to be able to share some really good news with you this month.  There are new products to share, new updates throughout the company's literature, labels and website -- and wonderful news about professional alliances to help Skode's grow. And yes! Yes! A cookie sale :)
Skode's is proud to be a new distributor for Bach's Flower Rescue Remedy. No barn should be without this wonderful homeopathic, which calms and soothes frazzled nerves. Honestly, when the idea came to me to offer this product to Skode's customers I could not understand why they idea had not appeared earlier -- the combination of R&R and Skode's is a natural!

Simply put a few drops of R& R on any cookie of your choice. I recommend Enchanted Flower Blossom and the Nutty Seed in particular, as both contain Certified Organic Chamomile, an herb clinically proven for its anti-inflammatory properties and quite famous for relaxing nerves.

I am choosing to carry the glycerin Rescue Remedy as it is made especially for animals.

A *NEW* Raw Seed Mix for Horses from Ferrell Hollow Farm

There are many vitamin/mineral supplements and grass balancers on the market today.  Horses on grass restriction, whether it be due to dry lot, diet paddock or desert climate may need to have additional vitamins and minerals added to round out their diet.  Vitamin E is lost thru the hay drying and baling process.  Some horses detest the taste of added minerals to their feed. Many nutrients are lost or diminished when foods are cooked or processed.  Cindy Daigre of FHF has chosen to complete her horses' diets with whole food nutrition, and have developed a Raw Seed Mix to do so.
