And when grown in the right soils under the right conditions, herbs and whole foods are packed with essential vitamins, minerals, phyto-nutrients, and antioxidants that can help your horse feel and look terrific.

However herbs can not be depended upon to to provide certain levels of viatmins and minerals any more than grasses can, as vitamins and minerals in all living plants vary with the conditions in which they are grown. Any herbalist will tell you that herbs are just as prone to weather and soil changes as forage. So be wary of supplementing forages with herbs soley for nutritional purposes -- you would have to test their nutritional profiles in a professional laboratory on a continual basis to know whether you were meeting your horse's basic needs.
